Email: support@kasuplayer.com
2. Overview
We only process personal data as far as necessary to operate this website, sell Kasu Pro, provide the app’s features and answer requests. We do not use any analytics or advertising tools or tracking cookies. We do not use your data for advertising and do not send any advertising by post. We would only send promotional emails (e.g. a newsletter) with your express consent. The legal bases are Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract and pre-contractual measures), (c) (legal obligations) and (f) (legitimate interests).
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit the site, technically necessary data is processed: IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer, browser and operating system. This serves the secure and stable provision of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are only stored for a limited time and then deleted. We have a data processing agreement with STRATO.
4. Cookies and browser storage
We only use technically necessary cookies (§ 25(2) German TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR):
- Cart and checkout (WooCommerce, e.g. woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_…) – up to 2 days
- Customer account login (WordPress login cookies) – session or up to 14 days with “Remember me”
- Selected language (kasu_lang) – 1 year
5. Orders and customer account
To process an order for Kasu Pro, we process your name, email address, billing address, order data and the generated Pro code (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). A customer account is optional. Due to commercial and tax law obligations, we keep order and invoice data for up to 10 years (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR); you can delete your customer account permanently at any time yourself under “My account → Account details → Delete account”, or have it deleted by email.
6. Payment via PayPal
Payments are processed by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. For this purpose, PayPal scripts are loaded on the checkout page and your order and payment data are transmitted to PayPal. Other payment methods such as cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay are also offered via PayPal. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. PayPal may also transfer data to countries outside the EU; see PayPal’s privacy statement.
7. Emails
We send order confirmations, your Pro code and replies to requests by email. The emails are sent via the servers of our host STRATO.
8. Contact form and contact by email
If you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process your details (name, email address, message) to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). To prevent misuse, your IP address is stored as a checksum (hash) for no longer than one hour. We delete your message once the request has been dealt with and no retention obligations apply.
9. Withdrawal function
If you withdraw from a contract using our withdrawal function, we process your name, email address, order number, message and the date and time of receipt in order to handle the withdrawal and send you a confirmation of receipt (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, § 356a BGB). The data is kept together with the order data.
10. The Kasu Player app
Kasu Player processes most data only locally on your device. In particular, we do not receive any information about your playlists, login details, watched content or profiles.
- Playlists and content: The app connects directly to the IPTV provider you have entered and loads channel lists, programme data, images and streams from there. Your provider’s privacy policy applies. Login details are only stored on your device.
- Kasu Pro: When activating and regularly checking the code, the app sends your Pro code and the device name (e.g. the name of your PC) to our server kasuplayer.de. We store the activations per code (device name, time of activation and of the last check) to enforce the limit of two devices (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you remove Pro on a device, the activation is deleted.
- Updates: The app checks kasuplayer.de for new versions and downloads updates from there. Your IP address is transmitted in the process (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Error reports: Error reports are only saved on your device. They are only transmitted if you send them to us by email yourself; they do not contain login details.
- Trailers: If you open a trailer, YouTube is opened in your browser. Google/YouTube’s privacy policy applies.
11. Recipients and third countries
We only pass on your data to the service providers named above (STRATO, PayPal) as far as necessary for the purposes described. We do not transfer data to countries outside the EU; for transfers by PayPal, see section 6.
12. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Just contact support@kasuplayer.com.
